Route setting is the soul of every gym. What I appreciate the most of my job is always being able to offer new routes, with the right balance between aesthetics, spectacularity and efficiency.

ROUTE SETTING

I believe route setting to be the soul of each event and of each climbing gym: to me route setting is not simply a job, but one of my greatest passions.
I hold a 3rd level qualification as national FASI route setter, but throughout the years I have also had the pleasure to test myself internationally (WC’s, EYC’s, Masters and national trials).
What I appreciate the most of route setting is to offer new routes, with the right balance between aesthetics, spectacularity and efficiency. The experience gained on the field, as well as my past as an athlete, make it easier for me when inventing routes which I am then able to adapt depending on the necessity.
My route setting activity is split up between the world of competitions and the world of climbing gyms, where the style is adapted to commercial needs. I also try to share my knowledge through specific workshops, structured around participants’ needs.
